![]() Silas Michaelides | Doctor | Dr. Silas Michaelides is currently the Chief Operating Manager of Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence. Formerly, he was the Director of the Cyprus’ Department of Meteorology where he worked for over forty years. For nine years he was the Permanent Representative of Cyprus with the World Meteorological Organization and represented the Government of Cyprus to other International Organizations. He holds a Ph.D. in Meteorology, an MSc. in Agricultural Meteorology, a Master’s degree in Public Sector Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. He has more than 200 publications listed in Scopus, published several books and coordinated several Journal Special Issues. He has organized several Conferences and Workshops. He has taught Meteorology and Climatology to postgraduate students and supervised Masters and Doctoral theses.
